The same product is manufactured and consumed both domestically and internationally, however, the complaints against VinFast up to now are mainly from abroad. First, the US asked VinFast to recall nearly 5,000 VF8 cars to fix the airbag error. Previously, this Vietnamese car brand was rated very negatively by foreign Youtubers.
It’s not that the Youtubers have any negative feelings towards VinFast cars, but that this brand had a tragic accident in the US, killing a family in the car. Therefore, it can be said that the problem with the quality of VinFast cars is a real story, not a conspiracy against Vinfast.
Recently, a British engineer accused VinFast of taking revenge on him when he announced a technical error in the design that caused a safety problem. This engineer filed a complaint with the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about the safety defects of VinFast electric cars.
Faced with such negative comments, VinFast invited Youtubers to test drive the car after the defect was fixed. Suppose, if Vietnamese Youtubers criticized VinFast cars like that, would they be treated like that? Or would Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang be sent to arrest people and jail or fine them?
The world’s prestigious vehicle safety inspection agency often randomly selects cars on sale at dealerships to test their safety. Only then can it truly reflect the quality of products sold to the public. The same goes for foreign Youtubers, they rate VinFast cars as randomly selected cars, not cars that the company has had their experts completely edit as VinFast invited Youtubers to test drive. That car does not reflect the true quality of the product to customers.
Currently, VinFast cars are consumed the most in Vietnam, the reason is said to be because domestic customers are addicted to VinFast’s “patriotic charm.” This choice has caused many customers to regret about the quality of the car, the quality of after-sales service, and even suffer great losses due to accidents. All of those damages to “patriotic customers” are not taken care of.
VinFast cannot do anything to engineer Hazar Denli. And certainly VinFast cannot intervene with the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to suppress information. Perhaps that is why VinFast has given in and invited foreign YouTubers to test drive cars prepared by their experts.
Although inviting foreign YouTubers to test drive cars seems to show that the company has good intentions, in essence, it is a sophisticated way of deceiving customers. Because according to the assessment of some knowledgeable people, the quality of the product has been prepared by experts but the mass-market product cannot be the same. The car that the YouTubers are invited to test drive is said to be better than the car on display in showrooms.
On the evening of January 4, a VinFast VF4 burst into flames at the Nguyen Dinh Chieu-Nguyen Binh Khiem intersection in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Social networks filmed this scene from the moment it caught fire. However, the information in the state media later did not mention the car brand. Isn’t this VinFast using propaganda to blind customers?
It can be said that VinFast is currently facing serious quality problems. However, that is not the most serious problem, the most serious problem is that VinFast has used propaganda and the police as tools to blind “patriotic customers” so that they continue to rush to buy its cars like moths to a flame.
Patriotism is necessary, however, patriotism also requires wisdom, and one cannot blindly love the country to the point of confusing the country with the political system, confusing the country with an indecent business, which not only does not make the country better, but also indirectly helps those who destroy this country.
